The 2026 United Nations Public Service Awards?(UNPSA) has been launched and applications are now open.
UNPSA is a prestigious international recognition of excellence in public service. It rewards the creative achievements and contributions of public service institutions that lead to a more effective and responsive public administration worldwide. UNPSA promotes the role, professionalism and visibility of public service.? It seeks initiatives dedicated to providing quality public services for the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals.
Applications for the 2026 UNPSA are invited in four categories: 1) Delivering inclusive and equitable services to leave no one behind; 2) Gender-responsive public services; 3) Transparent and accountable public institutions to achieve the SDGs; 4) Participation and public engagement for inclusive decision-making.
Public sector institutions at the national, sub-national and local levels from all UN member states are eligible to apply. To avoid conflicts of interest, the initiative must not be implemented by the United Nations System.
Applications must be submitted before 31 March 2025.
