UNAI SDG Hub 15 Chair: Macquarie University
Macquarie University is located in Sydney, Australia. Committed to advancing sustainability, we align our teaching, research and operations with the UN SDGs. Our vision fosters a regenerative future where environmental, social and economic dimensions coexist harmoniously. The Faculty of Science and Engineering addresses key sustainability challenges, including biodiversity loss and climate change, contributing directly to SDG 15: Life on Land. Through innovative research at the ARC Training Centre for Bioactives, Centre of Excellence in Synthetic Biology and Applied Biosciences Department, we develop sustainable practices and technologies that protect ecosystems and promote responsible agriculture. Our sustainability training course will reach 28,000 students and staff by 2028, driving positive behaviour change.
