The Peacebuilding Fund is grateful for the Philippines’ contribution of $50,000 in 2022. ?Every contribution is helping to respond to the Secretary-General's call for increased and sustained financing for peacebuilding. ?

This contribution not only underscores the commitment by the Philippines to supporting peacebuilding processes and sustaining peace in countries affected by or emerging from conflicts; it is moreover symbolically significant to have a country that has also benefitted from PBF support express its confidence in the Fund and United Nations peacebuilding support.

Ambassador Antonio Lagdameo said: “We are proud to contribute to the Peacebuilding Fund. The Philippines has benefitted from the Peacebuilding Fund since 2014. The Fund contributed immensely to strengthening the gains of the Mindanao peace process and preventing violent extremism. The PBF-funded projects have also played a key role in building the capacities of the State and non-state actors to sustain and build peace through a more inclusive peace process.”
