
Chair Murmokait¨¦ with NATO¡¯s ASG Ducaru.
Chair of the United Nations Security Council Counter-Terrorism Committee Raimonda Murmokait¨¦, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Lithuania to the United Nations, on 13 October 2015 visited the headquarters of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). During her visit, Ambassador Murmokait¨¦ met with ¡®s Assistant Secretary General for Emerging Security Challenges, Ambassador Sorin Ducaru.
The Chair and Assistant Secretary Ducaru discussed possible avenues for further cooperation between NATO and the United Nations on counter-terrorism issues, particularly by drawing on expertise of NATO¡¯s Centres of Excellence, through NATO¡¯s assistance to partner nations in building their defence capacities, and through NATO¡¯s support to Security Council resolution 1325 on Women, Peace, and Security.
